1-on-1 Coaching — Principal Realities

This is not coaching.
This is the conversation
nobody else can have
with you.

Your family loves you. Your pastor, your therapist, your best friend — they all want the best for you. But they have never held the keys to a building. They have never sat in that chair at 6pm on a Tuesday, alone in a school that has emptied out, wondering how they are going to do it again tomorrow.

They cannot understand what you are carrying — not because they do not love you, but because they have never been a principal. And no matter how hard they try, that gap does not close.

This is where that gap closes. One conversation at a time.

Limited availability · Wait time 2–10 weeks depending on time of school year

You have already sat through
enough of that.

Not group coaching paid by your districtYou show up. A coach presents. That one peer principal gets their five cents in at every possible opportunity. You leave two hours later with a longer to-do list and more frustration than you walked in with. Nothing changed. Nothing was safe to say.

Not another district PD in disguiseThe agenda was set before you walked in. The outcomes were predetermined. The whole session was designed around what the district needs from you — not around what you actually need to lead better and feel human again.

Not a coach who reports backIf your district assigned you a coach, you already know the dynamic. When they ask how you are doing, the answer is always fine. Always. Because the real answer — the honest one — feels like ammunition. It feels like a weakness that will show up in your next evaluation cycle.

Not a guru with a frameworkThis is not someone who read about school leadership and built a program around it. This is someone who occupied every seat you have ever sat in — teacher, bilingual educator, AP, elementary principal, high school principal — and left with their integrity intact.

What this actually isA private, honest, one-on-one coaching relationship with someone who has felt what you feel, thought what you think, and survived what you are surviving. No agenda. No supervisor. No report-back. No performance review. Just the real work — your work — with someone who finally gets it.

Outside your district entirelyNothing said in a coaching session is ever shared with your district, your supervisor, or anyone connected to your employment. What happens here stays here — because that is the only way the real conversation can happen. You deserve a space where being honest does not cost you your job.

Everyone in your life
means well.
None of them get it.

You have people who love you. People who want to help. And still — at the end of the day, when the building empties out and you are left alone with the weight of the week — you feel completely alone in a way that is hard to explain to anyone who has not lived it.

“Your family sees you exhausted but does not understand why a school day could possibly be that hard. Your therapist is skilled at what they do — but they have never managed a staff of 60 people who all report to you and none of whom you can fully trust with your real feelings. Your spiritual leader lifts you — but they cannot help you navigate what to do with the toxic veteran teacher who has been in that building for 22 years and knows exactly how to undermine you without leaving fingerprints.”

None of them can give you what you actually need. Not because they do not love you. Because they have never been a principal.

And so you carry it. Alone. Smiling in the hallway. Holding it together in the board meeting. Going home and not knowing how to begin to explain your day to someone who has never walked a building at 6am making sure the heat was on before the kids arrived.

  • You do not want to seem like a complainer to the people who love you
  • You do not want to seem weak or overwhelmed to anyone connected to your district
  • You have been trained — by this profession — to say you are fine when you are not
  • You are afraid that asking for help means you are not cut out for this
  • You are afraid that admitting you are struggling is the first step toward losing the role
  • So you say nothing. And you carry everything. And it is costing you more than you are admitting.

I cannot fix your problems.
I can help you find your solutions.

Let’s be clear about what this is and is not. I am not your therapist. I am not your guru. I am not going to hand you a five-step framework and send you on your way. I am someone who spent nearly 20 years in this profession — in every seat you have ever occupied — and who left with enough left in the tank to turn that experience into something that actually helps the leaders coming up behind me.

What I bring to every coaching session is 20 years of lived experience, an honest perspective that exists entirely outside your district’s politics, and the specific ability to sit with you in the reality of your situation without flinching. I have been in turnaround schools. I have managed toxic staff. I have sat across from a superintendent who was more interested in protecting the institution than supporting the people running it. I know what that costs. I know what it takes to keep going anyway.

In our sessions you will not be performing. You will not be managing how you come across. You will not be calculating what is safe to say. You will be in a space where the real conversation is not just allowed — it is the only conversation we have time for.

The last five years of coaching educators and leaders directly produced the digital resources available through Principal Realities. Everything in the Principal Pathway, the New Principal Academy, and the Principal Playbook came from real conversations with real principals about what they actually needed. Coaching is where those conversations happen first.

“I see you. I hear you. I believe in you. You have what it takes to do this work. Let’s make a plan — together — so you can get it done and feel like the remarkable leader you already are.”

— Principal Realities

An investment in your career.
In your leadership. In yourself.

Three packages. Each one built around a specific moment in a leader’s career. Every session is private, one-on-one, and held entirely outside your district’s reach. Current availability is limited — wait time is typically 2 to 10 weeks depending on the time of school year.

Aspiring Principals

The Aspiring Leader — 4-Week Intensive

For the educator who is ready for the title and needs to get their head, their presence, and their preparation to the level the role demands.

$1,997
4 weeks · 1-on-1
  • Confidence building — thinking, feeling, and presenting like a leader, not a teacher or AP
  • Image and presence uplevel — how you walk in the room changes who they see before you speak
  • Mock interviews — real questions, real pressure, real feedback so you are not rehearsing for the first time in the actual room
  • The My Why excavation — the anchor that carries you through every hard day of the role
  • What principal prep programs leave out — and what you need to know before you say yes
  • The real transition from teacher to leader — what changes, what it costs, and how to be ready for it
  • A principal position typically pays $15,000–$40,000 more than a teacher salary
  • Most candidates walk into their interview with hope — you walk in with preparation
  • One interview. One position. One investment that pays for itself in the first month of the role
  • The confidence you build here follows you for the entire career — not just the next interview

The cost of not investing: Another interview where you left knowing you had more to offer than you showed in the room. Another year waiting for a role you were already ready for. Another cycle of preparation that stops just short of the confidence the committee was looking for.

Current & Burned-Out Principals

The Full Investment — 12-Week Transformation

For the principal who is ready for the most comprehensive, sustained coaching engagement — the one that changes not just how they lead, but how they live.

$5,497
12 weeks · 1-on-1
  • Everything in the 8-week package — with deeper engagement and longer runway for change to take hold
  • Full leadership architecture rebuild — systems, culture, authority, and capacity designed to sustain
  • The stay or lead forward decision — the honest framework that holds both doors open with equal integrity
  • Legacy work — clarifying what this season of leadership has built and what the next chapter looks like
  • Thought and feeling processing — the weight of years in the role, worked through with someone who has carried it too
  • Life integration — because the career is not the whole story, and building something that includes a life you actually love is part of the work
  • Twelve weeks is long enough for real change to take root — not just surface-level resets
  • The most common feedback: “I wish I had done this three years ago”
  • An investment in yourself that no one can take away — not a district, not a reassignment, not a change in administration
  • The clarity, the systems, and the self-knowledge you build here travel with you for the rest of your career

The cost of not investing: Continuing to carry alone what you were never meant to carry alone. Reaching the end of a career and wondering what it could have looked like with the right support at the right moment. Leaving the profession — or staying in it — without ever having the honest conversation about what you actually want.

Note: These resources were built from five years of coaching conversations with principals at every level. Everything in them came from real sessions — real problems, real solutions, real frameworks that actually work in real buildings. Coaching takes those same conversations and makes them specific to you, your building, and your exact situation.
